Thomas L. Chiu was born on the island of Gulangyu, China, on February 18,
1935. He arrived in America in 1961, became a citizen, and studied Community
Psychiatry at Harvard and McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Chiu is on
the Psychiatric Staff of Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York,
and resides in Hartsdale, New York. He Called Her Lilie is Dr. Chiu's
second published book of short stories.
